Philip Champion, born 13 June 1976 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He is an American streetball player who has been on the AND1 Mixtape Tour since it began in 2000, and is one of the most recognised ball-handlers the game has produced.
AND1 Mixtape Volume 3, February 2001. AND1 put it out on free VHS and, as Ballislife puts it, it “introduced the world to Hot Sauce and streetball to the masses.” The tour then became half-hour Streetball segments on ESPN2 and ran until 2008.
2000–2004 and again 2006–2008, per Wikipedia — there is a gap in the middle. The tour itself existed from 1998 to 2008 and produced ten mixtape volumes.
Nobody has published the answer. Despite the nickname being on a Wikipedia article, a 2004 AND1 player card, a feature film credit and two documentaries, no source found in this research explains who named him or why — so no origin story is invented here.
He made his film debut as Jewelz, frontman of the team Platinum, in Crossover (TriStar/Sony, 1 September 2006), opposite Anthony Mackie, Wesley Jonathan and Wayne Brady. He is also a playable character in the 2006 video game AND 1 Streetball, and appears in Netflix's Untold: The Rise and Fall of AND1 (23 August 2022). He cites ESPN's 30 for 30 The Greatest Mixtape Ever (31 May 2022) too — that one is his own claim and was not independently confirmed here.

The display name is Philip Champion, the bio references the AND1 / Killer Crossover Tour, and its post from 19 November 2010 reads “ya'll spread the word! the OFFICIAL Hot Sauce from AND1 has landed!!!” But it is not blue-verified, it has four posts and 186 followers, and it has not been touched since November 2010. Treat it as an artefact, not a channel.

No. A search for a store, shop or merchandise line returned no results at all. There is a Hot Sauce flame logo on the shirts he wears in his own photographs, but no shop, no product page and no price for any of it exists. The only thing he sells is his Cameo.
